Every once in a while I check out the various productions of this particular scene because I've never seen anyone get Pilate consistent with what we know about him (and there is biblical and extra-biblical source material). That includes the original and several other professional productions. This is the first one that, for me, got Pilate right. Thank you, Mr Fuentes. Pilate hated all Jews and didn't want to crucify Jesus, not because he thought J was innocent but that the Jewish leadership wanted it. Mr Fuentes communicates that overall disdain. Further, Pilate was a good Roman governor who would have been unmoved by the 39 lashes, not horrified (as most productions do). You all got this particular scene right from a musical standpoint AND historical interpretation.

This was absolutely amazing, without a doubt the best version I have ever heard. What an amazing cast, would’ve loved to see this production. Almost 5 years too late. As someone who is in the little mermaid right now, this song is pretty hard and they pull it off flawlessly.

i can tell the director and performer worked hard so i mean no disrespect but... i cannot take this seriously if the performer portraying Jesus is going to look like a college kid from 2016. this is "dating" the material, with topical hair styles and such and fashion that will look regretful in 2026... if people would just present this piece "straight" it would be so much effective. sigh.

I was lucky enough to see this production on Opening (and I guess what became Closing) Michael did a great job directing, and the show was cast really well! Sahid killed it as Bobby, and Laura brought her typical amazing humour and depth to Penny. Jessie was pretty amazing as Little Sally, though I saw some of her Wednesday coming through (which was perfect for the character)! There was some great little jokes (Laura's facemask joke in Act 1 and then the Evita joke in Act 2). Nicholas played Lockstock just amazingly well! Shala's operatics during Follow Your Heart were wonderful, and that was one of the best performances of Run Freedom Run I've seen in a while! Great balance between eye-winking, meta and surrealness. Really well done and it's such a shame this had to be cancelled at the last minute. Is there any chance that the production will continue once the 'all-clear' is given? Also, I saw the show was being filmed on the first night, is there any chance of seeing that footage? Thank you for putting on this great show and here is hoping you all will someday do The Great American Trailer Park Musical! It's one of my favorites and would be PERFECT for the PPTOPA! Really fun sets, but not too many, and a great cast of characters (though perhaps smaller than what PPTOPA typically does). Thank you!

I recently played Prince Eric so this helped me a lot,that Ariel is beautiful and has a wonderful voice! All of them are broadway worthy!
